A Bit About Our Family
My name is Mary, and I have two happy little lambs. I love people, I love being a stay-at-home mom, and I love my husband. Scott and I met in college, when I was working toward a degree in art and design, and he towards a master’s in computer science. Opposites really do attract! He was quiet and practical, I was talkative and impulsive. We didn’t know it at the time, but aside from those differences we have an immense amount in common. We are blessed to live near the college town where we fell in love, on the California coast. Scott works remotely for an aerospace company and loves his job. We recently bought a new home and are in the process of fixing it up. Our son is two and a half, and we just welcomed our baby girl in September. Life is full and beautiful.

A Bit About Two Happy Lambs
I started this as a private blog called “The Good Life” when Scott and I were trying to conceive. It took us two years (it felt so long!) and I wanted a way to keep our friends and family up to date on our progress. I found it therapeutic to write it out, and it was a wonderful way to let my friends and family know when I needed extra support. When our son Ben was about six months, I was reading my favorite blogs (like Enjoying the Small Things, Bower Power, etc) every day in the morning before he woke, and I found them incredibly thought provoking, enriching and supportive. That’s when I decided that blogging was a good way for me to keep on documenting our lives as a family, but also a way to connect and laugh with others over the typical, and not so typical moments. I love how easy it feels to reach out this way, to old friends and new. I am able to reflect, write stories, be creative, and have a dialog about all of it. So I decided to go public.
Two years in, I changed the name to Two Happy Lambs, and gave the blog a face lift. These days I find myself posting about everything from family traditions to craft projects, house updates and current events. I am so glad I made the blog public, and I have gotten a chance to pay forward what I have gotten from some of my favorite blogs. You can check out the blogs I am reading now on the list to the right.
The next phase for this blog is to incorporate my art and sewing projects in a way that makes them available to my readers. I just launched Two Happy Lambs as a shop on Etsy, to sell my art prints and stuffed animals. This blog has given me so many opportunities to stay creative and inspired (along with some comical days of ranting-also beneficial) and I am always looking for new ways to share that creativity with my readers.
I am so glad you have come to visit and look around! I love to hear your voices, so comment if you feel inclined, or you can always email me at twohappylambs@gmail.com.
